The Dermamate Skin Stapler is a sterile, disposable surgical device intended for the approximation of skin. Composition and Construction

The device combines a polymeric case with staples formed from stainless steel 316 LVM. This medical-grade steel gives the pins a firm yet fine profile suited to skin tissue. The stapler carries an ergonomic, user-friendly housing that provides a clear view of the operating site, a ratchet system designed to reduce jamming, and an indicator that shows the number of remaining staples.

As a non-absorbable, uncoated, undyed device, the Dermamate is built to deliver uniform staple formation and secure staple deployment for consistent skin approximation. The trigger mechanism drives staples into the skin for rapid, standardized closure. The specification data records a tissue-reaction grade of 0 (none). The stapler is configured as a wide 35-pin unit, and Dolphin recommends pairing it with a compatible staple remover for staple extraction.
